HMF at The Breakers
HMF The Breakers Hotel, Palm Beach, Florida. Acting as a design consultant to the firm Peacock+Lewis, Tihany Design reimagined the iconic Florentine Room at The Breakers Hotel into a sophisticated new dining experience named HMF after the hotel’s founder, Henry Morrison Flagler. The design maintains the integrity of the historic room while infusing it with a new sense of relevance through the installation of an open kitchen, two sleek bars created of mahogany with bronze accents, and a stunning, glassed in wine-wall that displays the hotel’s significant, 3,000 bottle wine collection. The original ceiling and chandeliers remain accented with specifically selected furniture pieces that encourage conversation and social interaction. In addition to the dining and lounge space, Tihany redesigned the buffet area as well as created an intimate stage and performance space.
